About Women in Public Safety Communications Leadership Conference

Growing a career in public safety communications creates different challenges for women than men. The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International launched the Women in Public Safety Communications Leadership Conference in May 2009 to meet the career needs of women in the industry. Women from PSAPs, law enforcement, fire and rescue, consolidated dispatch centers and other agencies attended the two-day event. Their rave reviews prompted APCO International to continue the event. More information about the 2010 Leadership Conference can be found at www.apcointl.org/WIPSC.
