| APCO’s Public Safety Award Program (PSAP)
Do you work with a hero?
APCO International presents awards to public safety communications personnel who have demonstrated the highest levels of personal and professional conduct and performance in the line of duty.
While award nominations are no longer being accepted for 2008, it’s never too early to start collecting documentation of extraordinary efforts for next year. Award categories currently include Telecommunicator of the Year, Communications Center Director of the Year, Line Supervisor of the Year, RF Technologist of the Year, Information Technologist of the Year, and Trainer of the Year.
Nominations can be made as early as February 1 for 2009 awards and are accepted until April 1.
We encourage you to start your hero file today.
Selecting a Winner
The Awards Committee of APCO International has the difficult task of selecting a winner in each category to submit to the APCO Board of Officers for approval. These prestigious awards are presented at the APCO Annual Conference and Exposition in August each year.
One winner in each category receives a fully paid trip to the Annual Conference & Exposition, including registration, travel expenses, and hotel accommodations. For more information, call us toll-free at (888) APCO-911, or email us at awards@apcointl.org.
